Story Writing은 문장이 만들어지는 가장 기본적인 시작점인 두 개의 단어, 즉 '주어'와 '동사'로부터 출발하여 한 편의 스토리(Story)를 완성하는 방법이다. 처음에는 두 개의 단어로 된 짧은 스토리를 만나게 되지만, 이후 각각의 문법이 기본 문장에 하나씩 추가되면서 스토리의 구조가 정교해지며, 전달하고자 하는 내용도 더욱 자세하게 되는 과정을 겪게 된다. 다시 말해, 첫 번째 스토리에 새로운 문법이 추가되면서 두 번째 스토리가 만들어진다. 두 번째 스토리는 첫 번째 스토리를 쓸 수 있는 바탕이 되는 것이다. 마찬가지로 스토리가 더해 갈 수 있도록 각각의 문법이 추가되고, 처음에는 20~30분 분량의 기본 문장으로 구성된 짧은 스토리가 결국에는 1시간 분량의 풍성하고 감동적인 한편의 스토리를 이루게 된다. 본서는 바로 위와 같은 과정으로 구조적으로 풍성하고, 내용적으로도 감동적인 한편의 스토리를 만드는 것을 목표로 하는 영작문 교재이다. 전체 내용은 Grammar, Preview the Story Sentence, Story Writing, Review Sentence Writing, Word List, Guideline으로 구성되어 있다.
